Current Status
On September 9, 2014, Madam Justice Watchuk approved the a Settlement Agreement between the parties. A copy of that Settlement Agreement is available below. In accordance with section 4.4.(2) of the Settlement Agreement, the Company Paid Plan was implemented on April 1, 2015. Settlement Class Members who elected the Company Paid Plan are now covered under that Plan effective April 1, 2015.
Settlement Class Member are entitled to a refund for the amounts they paid for MB Legacy Plan premiums and Medical Services Plan premiums from April 1, 2012 and April 1, 2015. The estates of Settlement Class Members who have deceased since April 1, 2012 will be automatically entitled to a refund. Refunds have been sent out to Settlement Class Members who have elected the Company Paid Plan. Refunds to the estates of deceased Settlement Class Members will be sent out shortly.
