Our Practice

The primary focus of our practice is providing quality, comprehensive legal services at reasonable rates to assist unions in representing the interests of their members. We advise and represent unions and workers on all labour relations and workplace issues at the B.C. Labour Relations Board, grievance arbitrations and mediation, collective bargaining, administrative tribunals, judicial reviews and appeals, and in all levels of court.

Our Services

Victory Square Law Office LLP provides a full range of services from advice to advocacy for workers and unions. We recognize that unions and workers are increasingly more sophisticated, possess considerable labour relations expertise, and do not always require assistance in all areas of the law. We provide services responsive to our clients requirements, resources, and expectations. From articling students to associates to partners, we provide assistance from individuals in the firm who can perform the work in the most efficient, affordable, and timely manner. Whether the requirement is research on a particular point of law or full representation in a grievance arbitration, we are pleased to assist.

Our Clients

We represent local, provincial, national, and international unions across British Columbia. In the public sector, we represent unions in areas including the health care sector, education, provincial and municipal government, utilities, and police and fire services. In the private sector, we represent unions in most industries including forestry, pulp and paper, mining and smelting, manufacturing, retail and service, private health care, construction, and trades. In addition to assisting unions, we represent and advise pension and health and welfare trusts, and individuals workers on most workplace issues.

We also serve the community by performing free legal work on various issues from First Nations law to poverty law. Victory Square Law Office LLP is committed to progressive politics and social issues. We are a strong supporter of the New Democratic Party and contributor to a number of organizations working to improve social and economic conditions for the Downtown Eastside and its residents.
