BC’s Labour Relations Board (LRB) has upheld the right of the BCFED to use a “hot edict” to put economic pressure on unfair employers during labour disputes. The LRB accepted the argument that the BCFED made that a hot declaration is broad to capture not only those products which crossed a picket line, but which also includes products owned or handled by Western even if they left a struck location prior to the strike.
